Orientation - Summer 2008
Congratulations and Welcome!

Congratulations on your admittance to California State University, Fullerton!  We know you have a wonderful experience ahead of you, full of great memories.  That said, we know the transition into college life can be both exciting and challenging.  From now on, make sure you pay special attention to the mail you receive from the university.  Set up a system to keep track of all the important information you collect.  In addition, make copies of all the documents you send to Cal State Fullerton.  Furthermore, pay particular attention to all deadlines in order to guarantee registration access, financial aid eligibility, etc.  Finally, by attending orientation, we can help you make the right choices as you begin your journey toward academic success!

New Student Orientation (NSO) is MANDATORY for all first-time freshmen The New Student Orientation registration deadline has been extended. If you plan on attending classes at Cal State Fullerton this fall, you must register for NSO as soon as possible.  Registering for NSO confirms your intent to attend CSUF.  If you do not register for a session date, you will risk losing your admissions offer to the university.

Transfer Orientation is MANDATORY for all newly admitted transfer students.  All newly admitted transfer students must either attend a Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) session or complete an online Transfer Overview before registering for their second semester courses

Please visit www.fullerton.edu/orientation for more information and to register for all our orientation programs.

Again, orientation is a great opportunity for you to meet fellow new students and make valuable connections with current Cal State Fullerton students, faculty and staff.  New students who make these connections and create these friendships tend to be more successful in their transition to college.  In fact, students who attend orientation are more likely to stay in college, be satisfied with their college experience, achieve better grades and graduate!
